About Bonnie Ho Insights
I’ve always been drawn to understanding what moves people — what they feel, what motivates them, what their truths are, and how they make meaning in the world.
That curiosity has taken me into two worlds:
User Research in Video Games
In the game industry, I study how players think, feel, and behave so teams can design experiences that resonate. My passion for emotional understanding and keen observation gives me an innate ability to connect the dots between concrete behavior and attitudes & feelings, and express insights on how they play, so that teams can see their game in a different way. Tarot Workshops & Mentorship
Tarot became one of the tools through which I learned to listen to my inner wisdom. Now, I teach readers and seekers how to go deeper to extract the insight by exploring their own truths, and trust the quiet voice beneath the noise. Tarot offers small notes of wisdom—each carrying a universal life or spiritual teaching that lifts us into a higher perspective. When everyday life pulls us off center, Tarot gently reminds us what it means to be balanced, loving, and whole. Learn more
Both practices are about honing in on the insight that shifts our perspective.

Here’s the short version of my story…
Back in 2018, BonnieHoInsights.com was created as a home for my user research consulting work. After 16 years in tech and video games, I left corporate life and began a consulting practice as a bridge into a more spiritual vocation.
A year later, I felt called to more fully ‘put myself out there’, so I shifted the site to reflect my new path. It became a space for tarot, intuition, writing and inner work.
In 2022, I began teaching regularly and founded The Journey Circle, a space for curious seekers to connect with their inner callings. Teaching tarot became an integral part of my service work.
In 2023, after a couple of years away from consulting, I was invited back into user research by an ex-colleague, when I discovered something surprising: I genuinely enjoy doing user research.
Teaching tarot fulfills me spiritually, and research fulfills me mentally and intellectually. Both are necessary for a fulfilling life.
I’ve also realized that one informs the other. In my research, I am more in tune with players through opening my sense of empathy to connect deeper with their emotions and motivations. In my spiritual mentorship work, I bring a grounded practicality shaped by years of organizing complex information into digestible forms, which has refined the skill of translating challenging concepts into something people can more easily understand.

Showing my full self
Recently, I realized that what I didn’t like about corporate life was having to pretend to be someone I’m not. I didn’t want to wear a mask anymore, and so I began to ‘come out’ to clients and share that I also do spiritual work. To my surprise, people were more than okay with it. I was afraid that they would dismiss me for being not ‘analytical enough’. What was reflected back was that the work I’ve done with colleagues spoke for themselves, and that I’m still me despite the shift in a new direction.
To feel whole, I decided to let this website hold both identities. Both worlds can find me here, at the intersection of Bonnie Ho x Insights… the inner insights and the player insights.
Because in the end, both paths are expressions of the same thing…
human understanding, perspective, depth, and clarity.
Welcome to Bonnie Ho Insights.
